If you asked me to list the major life changes we've experienced in the last few years, it would probably be easier to list the things that haven't changed. That list would be a whole lot shorter. Even so, here's my attempt to give you a peek behind the curtain into who we are and how we got here-- to starting our own wedding and event floral design business.
When I was a Freshman in college studying English at James Madison University, I *met Taylor Fletcher. ("Met" might be a stretch, as it was more that I found excuses to see him from afar on several occasions). I thought he was handsome, funny, and his birthday was two days before mine! What more could you want? I had a major crush, as evidenced by my super breezy birthday salutation shown below:
By our Sophomore year, we were actual friends thanks to Taylor's roommate, Jonathan. The extra time and increased proximity to Taylor just solidified my crush. Unfortunately he didn't feel the same way. Awkward. We stayed close friends throughout college. He did laundry at my house and I made him hot chocolate. He made me popcorn and we climbed trees. We shared our love for our families, Jesus, music, and Harry Potter. When we started dating our Junior year, it took about two weeks for us to know we wanted to get married one day.
